I ordered some "Test" bullets for my 358 win project. I don't even have the barrel changed but as soon as I shoot a deer with the current 6.5 needmoor barrel I'll change over.
Using a PBR calculator for the hammer bullets I'm going to try it looks like to keep it in a 6" target 250 yards is the range I need to keep it in.
215, 220, 223 gr hammer bullets at 2500 fps, at that distance the energy is JUST under 2000 fp. So the PBR and retained energy is about the same range. Cool.Thumbs Up

That will be a good deer and elk killer.

How much energy do you need to take down a deer or elk? 2000 fp sounds like a lot.
I have always considered myself to be quite the bullshitter, But ocasionally it is nice to sit back and listen to a true professional......So, Carry on.

I like to have around 1800 to 2000 minimum.

0ne in 14. If I had gone with an Excalibur barrel I could have gotten it in 1 x 12.and could run 250 gr plus.
