I ordered some "Test" bullets for my 358 win project. I don't even have the barrel changed but as soon as I shoot a deer with the current 6.5 needmoor barrel I'll change over. Using a PBR calculator for the hammer bullets I'm going to try it looks like to keep it in a 6" target 250 yards is the range I need to keep it in. 215, 220, 223 gr hammer bullets at 2500 fps, at that distance the energy is JUST under 2000 fp. That will be a good deer and elk killer. How much energy do you need to take down a deer or elk? 2000 fp sounds like a lot. ------------- I have always considered myself to be quite the bullshitter, But ocasionally it is nice to sit back and listen to a true professional......So, Carry on. |
