I'm sure there's someone here who can assit me with this question.

A generous friend bestowed upon me a Winchester 1300 this weekend, good looking gun no scratches to the wood or metal.  However the joint where the slide tube attaches to the pump action arms has come apart and I need to break it down and braze it back together.  I guess my question has two parts.

1.  Can I break it down and just braze this back together?

2.  I can remove the barrel, but how do I break it on down to do the brazeing?   I see one pin above the trigger, I'm assuming I need to remove it and then the action will come apart but I want to double check with someone more experienced than myself.

Thanks,

Tee

I wish I could help ya,all we've ever done with ours is pull the trigger group and clean it,never took them apart any farther than that. One of our gunsmiths should be along soon.  Excellent shotguns though,my sons are beaten brusied and keep on pumping.

My boy has the same prob. We have had it welded by a smith and it broke again, you can't buy a new one if you don't have an arms license. He ended up buying a used gun swapping the part then selling the other gun ( He had it welded again ). He has had no more problems. He shoots way over a 1000 shells a year!

I took this gun to a local gunshop and they ordered the new part $59.00.  I'll pick it up later this week.

Thanks
