Fella's;

I'm surprised nobody's mentioned the 'cheater' set-up.  After all, if the Fed's don't object, how can anybody here?

Get the .45ACP of choice & then get one of the accessory .22 rimfire conversions for it.  Feds only count it as one firearm - so far.  Do it before Hillary gets elected though.

I'm one of the cheaters -- I have a .22 Colt Ace Conversion on one frame, and a Ciener on the other (I like the old Colt Ace better.)  Add a 28-lb Wolff recoil spring and a buffer if your gun will tolerate one, and you can shoot .45 Super, as well.

Favorite handgun caliber is 44.  I like my S&W  M-29s because of the ability to shoot either magnum ammo or 44 special ammo.  These days I mostly shoot spcls out of them, for practice.

I don't have a 22 conversion for them.     But I do have one for my AR.     And I wouldn't mind having one for my Beretta.  Dang, now another thing I've gotta go out and buy.

Somebody better call the Secret Service. Let 'em know there's an illegal alien in the White House...and it ain't the cook!!

.22 Long Rifle -- I have a Ruger MKII, a Colt Officer's Model Target (1930s-era revolver) and two M1911-types with conversion units (one Ciener, one Colt Service Model Ace.)

.357 Magnum -- I have a Colt SAA (2nd Generation) and a Colt M357.

.45 ACP -- I have the two M1911-types mentioned above, and my carry gun is a Kimber Custom Classic.

.45 Colt -- I have a Colt New Service and a Ruger Blackhawk

For a "social encounter" city gun, without doubt a 1911 .45 acp.

For an all around mountain gun .44 mag. with hard cast Keith type bullets.

This combination will see you through anything!

For all around general cartridge, nothing beats the .357. However, I do have .22, 38 Specials, 45's, 9mm, and 44 mag, but I do have 5  different .357's  models.

Tough to pin down. I suppose the .38/.357. Yeah, it's one cartridge. It just happens to have two case lengths and an infinite number of options. I suppose if I had to divest myself of everything else, I'd go with a pair or trio of tuned up S&W 19's or 66's for everything handgun related.AW

Mr. Maddness;

DO come see me before you pop for a weak-kneed bed-wettin' round like the .480.  You do know that it's the .44 special of the .44 special/.44 magnum pair don'tcha?

You can pop a coupla .480's & then try the senior member of the pairing.

What I really want CB is a 475 Linbaugh, but no one seems to make it in a double action. For what ever reason SA just don't seem to fit my hands right, and the SRH fits me like a glove.

But I will come see you for sure. Still need to bring the Sako by for inspection

Fella's;

Well Hillary didn't make the ticket, but the above advice may be twice as good now as when I first posted it.

If you don't have a .22 conversion for your semi-auto large caliber platform, GET ONE SOON!  Before the obaminator's administration closes that "loophole".  As of this writing they are not 4473'd, ie no Federal paperwork when you buy, but I doubt that's gonna last through this administration's tenure.

I have gotten two pistols since the election. A 40 S&W, and just picked up a  9mm on Friday.
