Don't post a whole lot, but thought you all would be interested in this one.

It weighs in at 28oz w/ a 4" bbl.  I was really suprised when I took her out this last weekend, I took her and my Ruger Super Blackhawk w/ 7 3/4" bbl for comparison.  2 types of factory loads and one hot hardcast that I have been shooting in the BlackHawk.

The Taurus's kick is about the same as the BlackHawk and was not uncomfortable to shoot for a long time.  The trigger on this revolver far surpases the trigger on any of my other revolvers or pistols.  In DA it is smooth with a crisp break, not to heavy.  In SA, it is light and crisp.

This one will ride my hip while bow hunting this fall to do duty as a bear/cougar pistol.  I do have to make a new holster for her though, as I screwed this one up and made it a lefty.

I was able to find them right around $500.  It is a nice revolver and I don't think you would be dissapointed.

I have to work up some loads for this now.  Anyone have any favorites?

I like the holster !

Are you in the holster buisness ? If not you should consider it.

I have not hand loaded for a pistol or a revolver in many years but I remember using a lot of w-296 in my magnum revoulvers.

Nope, that is my second attempt at a holster, first was for a derringer and not worth showing.  This one was made after watching a video put out by Chuck Burrows of Wild Rose Trading Company (http://www.wrtcleather.com/).  I has a couple of videos I have one on sheaths, one on holsters.  If you want to learn, these are great resources.

I might be looking for a home for this on in the future, since I am not left handed.  Need to make another to give the revolver a place to call home, but if anyone is interested let me know.
