OK, Another question for you experts.

Looking a Ruger SR40C. travel and self defense. Could become carry gun.  What's your opinion. I'm not a range guy. Just need something with a few extra pulls

I have heard good things about the SR40c & it's 9mm cousin....a whole lot more punch at the receiving end then a .380 of course....a bit bigger pkg of course....the smaller pkg of most .380's could have it's advantages in hot summer type weather for CC....plug into some CC sites and see what the general trend is out there.  The .40S&W packs a good punch too.

Bluetick;

That package could produce some pretty snappy recoil.  Might want to find one of the padded shooting gloves to start with.  I know that the little Ruger LCP in .380 is not really a mild-mannered cutesy-poo when the firing pin drops & I'm going to presume the .40 is gonna be worse.

Shoots nice. I read everybody talking about the recoil,  Not that much. Course i'm a pretty big guy 6'3" 255lbs. My son shot it with no problem. I don't see the fuss

no problems with my SR40c either in the recoil department.....with 180gr loads.  Seems to be a nice unit.  time will tell as more rounds go down range.
