I've decided that I have a hole in my 1911 arsenal.  While I have two Colts, they are both Series 80s (sans FP block).  I've been looking at those series 70 repos, but I'm not sure if I wouldn't prefer an original.  Do any of you have the newer guns, and if so, are they really comparable to the older ones?  Thanks.

Aside from the plastic furniture Mule, they are pretty good. I have a series 80 that I removed the fp block and installed a spacer. I trust my life with it frequently.......................Kingpin
