Gentlemen, A very dear friend of mine who is a vietnam vet needs some thoughts and prayers tonite. Howard has been my coworker for 21 years. For 15 of those years he was my boss, for 3 years we worked together in identical positions and last year I became his boss. He contracted Luekemia last year and made it through several bouts of Chemotherapy and is actually in total remission now. But the Chemo raised hell with his immune system and he developed severe shingles over the entire right side of his body. The pain was indescribable and he spent a week in the hospital on massive doses of pain killers and antiviral drugs. Unfortunately two weeks ago the shingles invaded his right eye and completely took his eyesight in that eye in 4 days, This morning his opthamologist determined that the shingles may have invaded his left eye as well. He is going in for laser surgery in the morning to attempt to save his eyesight, a procedure that failed in his right eye. Please keep him in your prayers for the next few days. My control operater has been dealing with this stuff for over a month now,bad stuff. Prayers sent. ------------- God,Mother,Country,and Hot Rods. Done with political crap.LOL |
