Gentlemen; Acting on a request from Kingpin and mrmom i did a search of the local papers and found the following obituary. The birthdate matches BK's profile on here. Although I had never met BK we had often talked about getting together for a shooting match. Unfortunately it appears I waited too long. He was a regular poster here and I thought you'd want to know. Probably one of the better things we as a group can do is let Dawn and the rest of BK's family know that they are not alone out there. There are enough of us here at BSB to provide a good amount of warmth and comfort with a few words from each of us.

Sad...sad...sad.

BK was a friend  and adversary. When he was in the attack mode, I ALWAYS saw the wit and humor that he chided me with. The news last night was just like a punch in the stomach to me, and then the void started setting in. I had plans for him to build my barbeque pit and stay with me for the time it took and longer, I had hoped. He would have been pleased to fondle the guns in my collection and shoot the ones he wanted to. His presence in here will be missed by me, as I always considered him a friend, that now, I will never know well enough to hoist a drink with around the glow of a fire. Here's to you BK, may you be where the guns are cleaned and ready, may the fish be biting, and the deer be all trophies. Let's ALL hoist our glasses high tonight in his honor.................Kingpin

Fella's;

I read this with a heavy heart.  I'll try to get something out to the family as soon as possible.  However, I'm in Arkansas now with my dad who's suffered a heart attack.

Im so sorry to hear about this. I never really knew Bryce and i dont think we ever responded to each others posts in order to get to know each other but its still just as sad and heart breaking to lose one of our friends, outdoorsman and a fellow BSB member. Does anyone know exactly what happened?

I just read the post by samchamp "Letter from a Stranger", which was the first I'd read about BK's passing.  I went for a little search and just came across this thread.  I don't know how I missed it the first time.

If some of BK's family are still stopping by the board, let me just say that I really enjoyed his humor in many of his posts.  I will miss him here at the BSB website.  You are in my prayers.

Rest in peace BK, and may all the deer in Heaven have huge racks!!!

Dawn,

My condolences to you and your family.  You are in my thoughts and prayers.  I am so glad that you were able to find us here on the internet and you figured out how to post.  I hope you continue to post and visit with us.

Bryce had many friends here and was very well liked.  He will be deeply missed.  Since I cannot be there to give you a hug, give yourself one from me, and one to each of Bryce's children.

Take care and God bless you and your family.

Wow. Nearly 20 years ago.

I used to work 8 days on and 7 off.  So a week at a time in a different city and hotel. The chat here in the evenings kept me going. Never met BK but spent many hours on the keyboard with him.

welcome BkCorris's son.

I spent a good bit of time with BK, nice gentleman.

I do remember scaring him and his mom.  I bought some stuff from him and just stuck a check in an envelope from my work.  they saw it was from a big law firm and panicked.  we had a good laugh at that.

Hope to see your future posts, your dad had a lot of friends.  for a while there   was a local group of bow hunters that had an annual Bk shoot to raise some funds, many of us contributed to that.

We do miss him.
