It is with deep regret that I must inform my fellow BSB'ers about the passing of one of our own... BSB member "Bojon" who's real name was Bob Marsh passed away at age 61 on June 15, 2005 after a two year battle with Amyotrophic Lateral Schlerosis [ALS] more commonly known as Lou Gerhig's Disease.

Bob was a member of Shooters.com during it's hay-day and I was fortunate enough to start a correspondence with him when BSB first started. We exchanged info on both rifle and handgun shooting over time. When my wife & I bought our '67 Ford Mustang in the summer of 2002 I found out that Bob also had a keen interest in automotives. In fact he revealed that he worked at Shelby American in Las Vegas, Nevada. When my wife & I were going there on a trip in 2003 Bob invited us to stop by Shelby to meet him and tour the plant. Upon attending, we found out that Bob didn't just "work" at Shelby, he was Director of Cobra Sales! Bob gave us a personal tour of the plant and shared his passion for the cars created there. We visited him out at Shelby on subsequent trips to Vegas and hoped to do again this past May. But it was not to be so...

Bob was a true gentleman and a consumate family man. He was a veteran & served in Viet Nam. He loved the outdoors and the shooting sports among other things. I am a better person for having been fortunate enough to have met him and shared some of his time.

Rest in Peace, Bob!

Hunting is not a matter of life or death; it is much more important than that.

Sorry to hear it. A good friend of mine also suffers from ALS, and we know it is only a matter of time. He still camps with us, but has a hard time shooting, or even getting around now. I can think of better ways to go. The mind is there, but the body is not willing.

He was a nice ol' fella. Always seemed to give intelligent, thought-out remarks. Will miss him.

I think we're all better for knowing him. He may be in a better place, but I'll take odds that he'd rather be here than there. So long friend, You WILL be missed.......................Kingpin

Sad to hear about Bojon's passing.  Seemed like he always had positive input about whatever subject was being discussed.

NL, thanks for letting us know more about him.
