Fella's; Bought the Stihl MS290 Farm Boss today. Got it & the accessory package for just shy of $380.00. Best deal in the area. I cut a coupla small logs in the backyard just now. It doesn't seem to cut all that quicker or easier than the Mac. But maybe the Mac cut good 'cause it was SO HEAVY!! The Stihl's got to be about 1/2 the weight. 900F ------------- Birth certificate!? Rob; Yeah, your right, it came with the anti-kickback chain. No such thing on the Mac of course. But, it doesn't cut any worse, & it's so light! I'll probably just let it ride. Sounds like a winner CB. Now, the one rule of chainsaw operating is, never loan it unless you go with it. Keep in mind the old motorcycle addage that says, no one but the owner could ever start a Triumph. CB, I put a steel chain without the rakers on my Poulan and it cut
twice as good, really tears the hell out of logs, but eats up power
fast too if you let it.
