I only got 41,000 on 65,000 tires. I could have got through the winter if I lived way south. Anyway I went to a little more aggressive tread and only a 60,000 tire. All in with an alignment, mounting , balancing , full road hazard coverage, and disposal fee for $280 a tire, that with a pro rated discount for the old tires. That's about the same price as the discovery but 5,000 less mile rating. where are they made? China, Twain, China? I try to get 60-70,000 miles out of out of a new set, trying to buy them in October to get a good first winter out of them and a fair last summer out of them. I've had pretty good luck with Yokahama Geolanders. I'm not sure where they're made but they sound Japanese. I looked at Cooper but couldn't justify the higher cost. I was already putting $900 worth of tires on a $200 truck. ------------- I have always considered myself to be quite the bullshitter, But ocasionally it is nice to sit back and listen to a true professional......So, Carry on. |

You're right Bear. I don't know what I was thinking. I'll probably be needing another set of tires for Rusty in a couple years.
