We loaded some 230 cast to try there over 1500 fps, published speed. They shoot 18" higher then my 303s at 50 yards. a bout a 15" group at that range too, not as impressed as with the 303s. At 50 I get them to group about 8" Apparently I did not have my arms locked, I was shooting off a bench and bags, no stiches but bleed like an old guy on aspirin ------------- Remember: Four boxes keep us free ,the soap box, the ballot box, the jury box, AND the cartridge box |

got a 10" 357; a 10 " 44 mag: and a 375 12 inch....all scoped. generally they shoot sub MOA at 100 yards. best kill wasa whitetail at 153 yards eyes need scope ------------- “ The IQ and the life expectancy of the average American recently passed each other in opposite directions.” |

I've seen it happen in videos but thankfully I've never had it happen to me. I think I'll stick with .357's. I don't hunt with mine so it's mostly plinking and getting cracked over the head by a scope doesn't sound like something I'd be interested in.

Just watched Kentucky Ballistics shoot a 500 nitro pistol one handed. Turns out there is a 600 nitro pistol as well........May wanna steer clear of those......unless the PD's have plate carriers. Ex-S-I-L did that with my DE in 50AE. The second,"oh sh**" shot almost took her head off. I grabbed it mid cycle before the third chambered completely. Knocked her muffs clean off and the barrel rib left a wide bruise on her noggin. She is an avid shooter and owns many. Gotta be prepared for those biguns or they will get ya every time. .........did the gun survive? ------------- ...oh yeah! thats gonna hurt! |

That's quite the picture. Never heard of anyone getting skulled by their revolver scope but it's gotta happen often. You did good not busting glasses or an eyeball. lol. Got scopes on a .375 supermag, .44 mag, .454 casull and the .500. Spose the casull and .500 could certainly do this if they weren't held onto properly. Reading stuff like this always good reminder to hold onto those bigger buggers and learn from others experiences  kor------------- A Big Mouth Don't Make A Big Man !!! The Duke |
