Spring is really turkey time.  but I'll be hunting them this fall, and can use a rifle.  thinking a 22 LR with 40 grain solid.

what would you recommend???

Should work just fine. Turkeys aren't that tough to kill with a rifle.......er....providin you hit them in the head.......which never stops movin.

The boy uses his CZ 17 hornet k.
Just hit them it wont do much damage either way.
I did one with my 6mm 80 gr.
Good thing there is not meat on ours anyway...Big smile

We can shoot turkeys out of the trees too.
We shoot mountain grouse with long and short arms also.
Feathers don't mean much.

.22 Magnum is legal here. I think that would be a good choice.
