I already have some varmint rifles, 22 mag, 222 Reminton, 22-25, and 243 win.

But a cz 527 in 17 Hornady hornet is talking to me!

Resistance is lowering.

is this a good cartridge???

You know my boy. That is his "go to" coyote rifle

He uses factory loads, we have not been able to match there performance or speed. He uses what ever the heaver bullet is, 25 Gr maybe. If wind is not a problem I have seen him mow down coyotes out to 300 yards.

In fact it is the only gun he has that he has shot a quad(4) coyotes that came in all at once.

Wind is your only problem.

finding a .17 cal cleaning rod/components will be fun & spendy I'd think. No experience with that CF caliber.
