I'm thinking of burning off my "Free" money from Trump on a thermal scope. It will have to be very near $1200. I found a few for that price but the reviews where not stellar. I may do it anyway, the cheap ones do not record. I guess I can do without that. I'd use it on the 22/250 or 6mm. Do you have any thoughts or pitfalls you know of? I used one in florida, very nice. was about $2400 then (6 years ago). I hunted leopard in Africa with a Gen 3 monocular.

I have an NV scope that clips on in front of my mounted daytime scope. I would look for a similar kind of setup for thermal (flir). That way all you need is the mounting apparatus to swap gun to gun and P.O.A. isn't changed at all. ------------- Motorcycles, Firearms, and an ex-wife: What more does a guy need? |
