Over the last 60+ years lost my fishing buddies to
lack of desire or the lack of heart beats.
Last to days, I got me two new guys. At my cabin with
4 Grand-kids (under 6).
Grandson and I just spent a 5 hour day on the boat,
bait fishing for any thing. He baits, casts and takes
the fish off...naturally he caught more than me.
Also got 3 year old twin Gd that loves fishing with GD
with the cane pole I made for her dad 38 years ago.
2 buddies found in 6 days.

with them before they get to be teenagers.

Actually, I just find two grand children that fish, and
this evening son tells me he is taking a 3 year overseas
posting!

Well, it can be a great experience too for the family so
with modern communications you can still be in their
lives bear...send them videos of you reeling in the
"big" one....

My Wife is already planning at least 2 visits a year. we
will stay close in motel/hotel/tent to their abode.
