any easy way to sharpen a serrated knife blade??? seems most of my newer knifes have a half serrated edge. Should I just grind the serrated teeth off? |

someplace out there is a knife sharpener just for serrated blades...hit google to find it

IBD, I have that exact unit. Great for straight blades. but doesn't do serrations. I liked them so much I have two, one in my gun room and one tied to my filet fighing knife. By the way, you can buy replacement sharpening tools for it. |

I'm not a fan of serrated blades. I have found that they are mostly good for cutting rope, which they make short order of. It aggravates me that they have to include a serrated portion on a lot of new knives. What gives them that right? I use a triangle stone for sharpening the serrated portion of the blade.
