BKC & all;

Looked in Scheel's today & found several A-5's & a couple of the Remington's that look like A-5's.  Nothing but 12 gauges though.  Prices ranged from $149.00 for one of the Remingtons to $799.00 for a very clean invecta choke Browning.

I think they balance nice. I held a couple and i thought the 16 gauge or maybe a 20 with a short barrel was pretty nice.

That would be me 900f

I have 2 Remington model 11's. They are allright but for some reason never caught on like the Brownings. That is in the ballpark for the ones I have seen. Usually when you see a Sweet 16 for some reason they are a little more expensive. I cant figure that out with the 16 guage never being as popular as 12 and 20.

Thanks for checking.

I have an old Belgium made Auto 5 which was manufactured around 1950. It is an okay gun except for the location of the safety. It is found on the front of the trigger guard and works similar to a Garand. You must place your hand in the trigger guard inorder to push it forwards to the off safe position. Has anyone else seen a similar model.

The A-5 Belgium Browning was voted the best semi-auto of the first half of the last century, just in case some of you shotgunners didn't know OK.

Now the Remington model 1100  was voted the best semi-auto shotgun of the last half of the last century, again just in case some of you didn't know OK.

I am looking for a super clean A-5 Belgium Browning in a "Sweet 16" model and gauge. Please let me know if any of you come across such a shotgun for sale or trade......Thanks 2Bits!

Fellers,

    A5's are good stuff, heavy but good.

 ALSO.. fer those who don't know, you can mail a gun back to browning and they'll reblue the works for ya for about 75 bucks.

I've killed more grouse with a browning than I have with my benelli to date.. hell of a point and click grouse gun.

Lets see remington do that!
