murray schmidt, AKA murf, passed away from cancer on 7jul2009.

he was a good member with a lot of knowledge of hunting, fishing, and cooking. we had often talked about meeting near the montana/saskatchewan border and sharing a beer and i regret that such an event never happend.

i consider him a friend and he will be missed.

Murf was a good guy.  He didn't post alot, but he usually had something worthwhile to say.

Our prayers go with him.

My heartfelt feelings go to his family and friends. I did not know him but anyone who has dealt with cancer is a friend. It is a vicious desease and as one who has defeated it twice I feel blessed. It still brings a lump to my throat and a tear to my eye as I read of all the people who have survived and those who have not. I wish everyone peace and good health. thks Piker
