Well, I think it is about time we fleshed all of the lefties out of the woodwork. All ye fellow lefties respond to this here post so we can get a tally going and know who is actually sane around here!

NH; I'm here, but am rarely accused of being sane. It usually doesn't take long for me to be able to correct the mistake either.

I'm a leftie. Write left. For pistol & rifle I favour left but can also shoot right. Left eye dominant. Catch left & throw right. Bat right. Golf right. Shoot a hockey stick right & played right wing. Punch right. -------------   "COLTS & PONY CARS"...

Jacobite; It isn't really the dominant hand that matters, it's the dominant eye. You're probably like my daughter, right handed but left eye dominant. Well, I shoot lefthanded, write lefthanded, throw a ball righthanded, use an ax mostly righthanded, but can chop either way, bat lefthanded, can actually shoot right or left but prefer to shoot left, but unfortunatly I am right eye dominate. I just close the right eye, usually and let the left eye take over. I shoot a bow right handed. My right hand is stronger then the left, but motor skills are better with the lefthand. ------------- Member National Rifle Association |

Gary; I don't know how to break this to you, so I'll just come out with the fact. Opposite hemispheres of the brain operate the body. In other words, there's more juice cookin' in the right half of your brain than the left. Or; righties are left brained & lefties are right brained. 900F ------------- Birth certificate!? Does it count if my wifes a lefty ? And yes she is pyschotic ,mostly during the pit hour, 6pm to 7pm. Dinner,cleaning up or should I say putting up with us guys in the house. ------------- God,Mother,Country,and Hot Rods. Done with political crap.LOL |

You can switch the setting on the computer to make the mouse left-handed. Go in under the Control Panel and look for the mouse icon. I love the way righties complain about it. Gives 'em a little taste. |

Thank you sir and I appreciate the welcome. Anytime I see a forum about or involving lefties I want to participate. I have always had a hard time finding equipment that fits me. For example, left handed holsters and such. Frustrating at times but what the heck, just gotta deal with it and roll on!!! The Dove

The Dove; Or is just Dove acceptable? I haven't had too much trouble obtaining holsters. Well, I should also say; "Other than paying for them". In fact in about a week I should be able to pick up my latest aquisition. That will be a cross-draw for a large-frame revolver on a 2.5" belt. I found that if I put the gun in my normal LH holster, it interferred with a rifle slung on the left shoulder, therefore the cross-draw to reside on the right hip. For commercial leather, I can heartily recomment either Milt Sparks Leather, or Idaho Leather Company, both in the Boise Idaho area. I've been carrying my H&K in a Milt Sparks Exec's companion IWB for over 10 years, original holster. It's comfortable and long lasting. My Blackhawk has been in the Idaho Leather rig for over 30 years & showing no great wear. However, the latest is going to be a custom holster from a local Great Falls Montana maker, Norm Schertenleib. The reason they do this is because Tony refuses to rush, hire less than master craftsmen, or do anything else that will lower the quality of the product. Idaho Leather Company is located at: 18 South Orchard in Boise Idaho, 83705. The telephone number is: (208)344-2602.
