Here's what I'm running for firearms oriented to the left shooter.

.22 lr, CZ452, topped with Talley rings holding a Nikon Monarch 3.3-10X A/O mildot scope.  The damn scope cost within a very few dollars of what the gun did, but it's a fantastic piece of glass.  I do a lot of hunting with this gun.  Therefore, I like to use 10 round magazines.  Downfall, the extra mags run about $25.00 each!

.223, Daly (Zastava, old Interarms Mark X) left hand bolt mini-Mauser.  This currently has a Bushnell Legend 5-15X A/O mil-dot on it in Warne rings.  Heavy, clunky rings they are too.  But, as light as the rifle is, it doesn't make too much difference.  This is a walking varminter.  I've had my fun getting the little bugger to shoot though.  It's been to the smith & gotten the trigger pull down to 1.75 lbs, recrowned, and the bolt cleaned up.  Now that Remington has taken over the importing of the Zastava guns, this is a rare bird in Daly feathers.

.220 Swift on a Ruger #1V platform.  Now topped with a Nikon Buckmasters 6-18X SAO scope.  And it's out at the smith's getting a Moyers trigger put in it.  Hopefully, I'll get it out this coming summer on a dog town & see how much improvement actually got done.  At least I got rid of that P.O.S. Burris that I had on it.

6mm Remington, Remington 788 LHB carbine.  This gun had been abused as a child & the story of it's rehabilitation should be in the archives under rifles.  If there's interest expressed, I'll move that thread in here & put it up.  It's scoped with an utterly common 1995 vintage Weaver V-9 in Redfield Jr. bases with Leupold extended rings.  The left 788's do still retain the right hand ejection port though.  Nonetheless, this is quite possibly the most accurate gun I own.  788's are shooter's!

Winchester new model Classic stainless left hand bolt with B.O.S.S.  Weaver 3.5-10X silver Grand Slam scope in a Leupold stainless single base & rings set-up.  I've put this gun in a McMillan stock.  This is the gun, with a different scope, that took my antelope in 2002 at 470 laser confirmed yards.

Tikka .338 Winchester magnum.  This is the older wood/blue Whitetail Hunter model.  It's wearing a Zeis Conquest 3.5-10X mil-dot scope.  And I'll recommend that glass to anybody who wants to upgrade.  I've taken my antelope buck and mule deer with it this year.  Elk to come!

As you can see, it's entirely possible to have a complete battery of guns for those who shoot from the left shoulder.  I've spent some time putting this together, & looked over a lot of options in doing so.  I've got a pretty fair idea of what's out there & what works.  The one thing I haven't found, yet is a 6.5 Swede on an LHB action.  If anybody knows where one's to be had, please let me know.

I have found it is possible to get any caliber you want in left hand.

You just need a LH Savage for a base gun. Between changable barrels and bolt heads, there is very little out there you can't get.

The main reason I got the Savage in .243 was so I could build a 220 Swift. But, I have the 22-250 now so I guess I will keep the .243.

You lefties might want to consider some lever guns especially the Savage 99.  They came in cartridges like 308, 250-3000, 284 and even 358 win.

Lots of them at the gun shows and they are almost ambidextrous.

cb what barrel do you have on this? I'm thinking of putting a pac nor varminter barrel in .204 on the action I just got!

This gun has the stock Daly/Zastava barrel.  It's a 1:10 twist. 

You might want to PM Rob1 & get his story on dealing with PacNor before you spend any money with them.  As far as that goes, contact Kingpin & get an estimate from him on putting a barrel on your action.  There are several people on site that can give you feedback on his work, all of it good.  He comes highly recommended.
