OK, getting older and more cautious...maybe smarter. There are a new breed of Personal Flotation Device on the market. Sort of Suspenders with a narrow inflatable bellows.
http://www.stearnsinc.com/Sospenders/default.aspx there seems to be about 3 types: you blow up, you pull a rope and CO2 inflates, and auto with CO@ iinflates when you hit the water. Anybody use one of these? thoughts BEAR |

bear: i havent tryed a 1 but have seen a few articals about them.... the blow up kind ???? if you panic when you hit the water.???? the pull cord better. you can do it yourself incase your not over your head and dont know it... but if you hit your head and cant pull it yourself...?????? auto inflate if you fall out and your in knee deep water????? just 1 thing to keep in mind , make sure when it inflates it keeps your face out of the water. they say that some of the p.f.d.'s will keep you afloat but face down is not good...... |
