I don't know because... umm... well... it's still a virgin!

sickening, I know.  I was planning to work a load up for it first before I took it out, but it keeps getting pushed out of the way.  We've been practically living at the lake for probably the past 5 weekends, so my "extra" free time has been reduced.

I'll let you know soon, though.

I would love to hear the details on some good loads, though, if anybody has some to brag about.

Nice rig Tex.  Thanks for getting BSB back.  How're things south of the Red River?

Texas - Great looking rifle! I got a stainless all-weather Tikka 6.5x55mm late last year. Still haven't tried her out. Great rifles, though!

Regards, Marcus.

I'm going to keep my $100 tasco on that thing till it gives up on me, I think.  I had thought about forking over more $ for something nicer, but... haven't had one of those TR's mess up on me yet.

Life is good here, thanks for asking.  Got a great job offer up in Eagle, CO last week... sure it's beautiful up there and all that, just don't think I can move out of Texas.  Like Kevin Fowler said,

"I'm a hell bent,

one hundred percent

Texan till I die"

We've had great weather here, kind of cool for June.  Heck, kind of cool for April.

How about you?

Hi, Al.  I bet those 125gr's really fly!  I may still have the pics of your .308, I'll look for 'em tomorrow.  No worries about what name to use... I'll be living down here in God's country until they make me leave!

Tex:

Well, you might be able to move to Colorado and still be a Texan on a technicality.  Some of those old maps of the Republic show that a strip of the Texas territory went up from the panhandle through Colorado all the way to Wyoming.  I know what you mean about missing the Great State and I only lived there for eight years through grad school and a bit after.  And I was in Waco which has to be the worst place in Texas.

The problem with the rat race is, even if you win, you are still a rat.

You know, by the same token, maybe they should let me hunt in New Mexico, Colorado, and Wyoming without paying non-resident fees.

Think they'll go for it?
