Evening Fellas  >>  Haven't posted much.  Harvest and 1 yr. old have kept things kinda busy lately.  Did make some time to spend a couple hours at a local gun show last Saturday.  Wanted to get another semi-auto handgun and wanted a Glock if the price was right.  I've never really been a fan of the glock "look" but with their flawless reputation, figured it was time to look past cosmetics.  Saw all the regulars (9mm, 40S&W, 10mm, .45 ACP), new and used, priced anywhere from $475 up to $650.  Nothing really caught my eye till I came to the 37.  A .45GAP.  I'd read much about it but never seen one so interest was immediate.  It was a used (like-new) dealer demo and was price tagged at $375.  I couldn't see a scratch on the thing, inside was free of any powder residue and the barrel shined like a mirror.  That price for this Glock seemed like a steal so i jumped.

Haven't even taken the time to get pics (will when time allows) and just shot the gun for the first time last night.  Was a little suprised at the straight up flip of the gun on firing.  Easy to recover from for quick follow-up shots but still suprising for the little round.  I had factory loads only with 200 and 230 gr. bullets.  Never did get it ran over the chrony but recoil wise, it felt right on par with my Bersa .45ACP.  From all claims, performance should be close in comparison to the ACP.  Will confirm that when i get to reloading.

Anyway, that's all I've done gun wise in months.  Shameful but true.  You fellers hunting, I hope the season is going well.  Hope to be on a little more often as harvest winds down and general hunting season begins.  Later all.  >>  korey

Korey - Always good to read a "Klallen" post... The .45 GAP is an interesting concept. Getting .45ACP power off the 9mm/.40S&W platform/size pistol. One of our specialty law enforcement units up here uses the Glock in .45 GAP. I occasionally see a few pieces of brass laying around the range when we practice with our .40's.
