Wolf Trapping Certification Class Roster Sign-Up 

With Montana set to open its first wolf trapping season December 15, 2012 prospective trappers will be required to learn about how to properly harvest a wolf and the need to be prepared for the challenge. Proof of completion of a wolf trapping certification class is required to use a Montana trappers license to trap wolves.
Montana's mandatory certification classes will feature the history of wolves and wolf management, the role of trapping in conservation, trapping techniques and ethics, wolf regulations, harvest reporting, proper pelt care and pelt registration requirements. 
To gauge interest in the upcoming wolf trapping season, FWP is asking prospective trappers to enter their name and place of residence on a certification roster (below). Specific registration details will be made available after a class schedule has been developed.
