I was just out at the FWP to get all my licenses.
You all know how we have a use permit on our Conservation license? That does let up access state trust lands to hunt and fish BUT. Not recreational shooting only hunting and fishing, AND. Coyotes, gophers, and P dogs are NOT game animals, so your, are Not "Hunting" where you're shooting them. Your permit does NOT let you use state lands for that. We need to have the additional use permit for recreation, another ten bucks, permit. I Talked with the Warden at the Regional FWP office in Great Falls. SOOO All that said when we go out and sight in or test loads or shoot gophers, we all need the recreational state use permit. You have to ask for it when you get all licensed up. Including calling coyotes... BE advised. That is non resedents too.

Becareful where you pee. You can't on state lands or wildernes areas or monuments. You have to use a WAG bag. I'm not joking, stop your boat at Holter and step out to pee on state land your in violation. Stay in your boat and pee in to the lake and your in violation. They are out of control.
Their is a bill in the Wyoming legislature as we speak that would double the fee on all licenses. I have sent emails to all of my representatives. I honestly believe that this would have the opposite effect of what they are trying to do. Instead of raising more money it would make less people get licenses and I believe they would raise less money. The hunting tax is too high as it is. Wing master

YES it is.
It has been around for years, but in the past us Residents just ignored it and would say we where "HUNTING", BUT now that wont fly. The warden implied there were going to be checking and enforcing... Ten buck does not bother me, Its the fact I have to get another tag, just put in in with the general license and EVERY one would have it, NOT JUST ME!

Age helps. My resident license is FREE for the past 10 years, includes tirkey, and buck whitetail. Bear tags cost 16 and does are $6.
