matching trajectories

   on another thread, the concept of matching trajectories was brought up. the idea of having PBR's that are very close or even matching exactly from rifle-to-rifle sounds like a great one to me, but the amount of load development involved must be collossal! this sounds like a great topic for its own discussion.
if anyone would like to share their experiences. methods or ideas on this subject, or ask questions, here's the place to do it!
for instance, i doubt that my .30-30 will be able to join this group, but does anyone have suggestions for acheiving this with my .308 and 7x57? i have sierra gamekings for both rifles (165 and 160 grains, respectively). and your like to have a zero of about 200 yards with a pbr around 250. any ideas?

	tasunka If i would have used your title I might have gotten more responses. ! I sugjest 1st You work up a load for either rifle, Squirt it across the chrony get your velocity then call the sierra help line ask for mpbr for that load. Then tell thm witch bullet you are using in the other rifle , and ask what velocity you need to achieve the same point blank range. Your cartriges , both good ones, are rather simmilar in performance. Making the task easier . In my Case I did not use mpbr , I think that would really complicate things. I just picked bullets with simmilar BC, and worked up loads that are close in velocity, Keep in mind that when I go hunting things will be a lot less exact, Elevation up hill dn hill shooting will change the trajectory, so trying to be to exact at the range will be pointless If my loads for three rifles are within say 2 inces of each other at 300 yards I will be happy. I may shoot a deer with my .308 dn hill at 120 yards and an Elk at 250 with my .338 up hill, so there will allways be guess work in the field. 	tj - thanks for the info. i'll work up a few starting loads and see if i can meet up with someone who's got a chrony!
