It was a 30-30 cast bullet, oversized to be sized down.

.30/.303/7.7 Caliber

This is a plainbase bullet for .30 caliber rifles. Sized to .311" it can also be used in such cartridges as the .303 British, 7.7 Jap, 7.65 x 54 Mauser and 7.62 x 54R Russian. It is a versatile bullet design and lends itself to all these calibers. In .30 caliber (.309") it makes a good .30-30 bullet.

Lyman
#311241

Weight:

155 grains

Style:

RN

Size:

.309"
