Home grown Salsa, Thinks Lizard!

Lizards own hand written secret recipe.
He has sworn me to absolute silence.
BUT I can say my one tomato plant produced exactly the 5 pounds of diced tomatoes, I had to use the 7 green ones but it worked great.
We went to the Farmers market yesterday and picked up two green peppers and some new crop yellow onions. I grew some hot ones that I added to 4 of the 9 jars of salsa, as to not get any "heat" in to the Family's portion.
I changed a little for our tastes like no heat and I added 6 cloves of garlic finely minced, half the salt and a bit of sugar, and no tomato paste, and I did not reduce it down as much that kept the vegies crisper.
My wife gave it a two thumbs up when she tasted it.
WOW Dang good stuff.

Next is Chokecherry, Wild grape, and Hawthorn jelly.

Everything is from scratch anymore so much better for an old fat guy.Clap

That sounds good.

I'm thinking I need to grow a garden next summer. If I do will you send me Lizzards recipe in a personal message? I won't tell him you gave it to me. Wink
I have always considered myself to be quite the bullshitter, But ocasionally it is nice to sit back and listen to a true professional......So, Carry on.
