I just put a CZ 75B on layaway at the local sportsmans wharehouse. I have never shot one before but i have shot the very nice italian copy and i liked it. Its a 9mm. I like the grip, feels like a Browning Highpower. it has good nite sights and 2 mags. I think 16 rounders. I paid 420.00. It seems like a hell of a good pistol for that price new.  I will let you know what I think when I ring iot out in a week or 2...tj3006

CZs are a great value and well made.  I have 97B in 45ACP and a 452 rifle in 22 mag.  Be on guard though, price on their accessories is pretty steep.  Mags for the 45 are $39.00 and plain wood replacement grips are $43.00.  Good reason to shop around  & visit the gun shows.

Fella's;

I'm thinking of the CZ RAMI.  Anybody got any experience with one?  The RAMI is the (maybe) sub-compact version of the CZ75 pistol.  The maybe is because without the chance to compare side-by-side, I'm not sure just how small it really is compared to say, a Kahr.  Probably larger, but how much?

You have to watch the dealers on CZ accessories, they will indeed gouge you.  BUT!  I'm told that CZ America will sell just about anything but a firearm directly to you the consumer.  I'm about to check that out myself.  If I can get the CZ .22 rifle, I'll be buying some 10 round magazines for it.

Belive me I know CZ hits you hard for some of the do dads, but the CZ75B factory mags are meccarrs and can be had for about 20.00. there are tons of houge grip choices for 40 to 70.00 on midway. But I once managed to loose tha bolt to my CZ 550 and replacing that was 275.00 ! Yes I was pissed !  ...tj3006

gave the CZ 75B a try out yesterday. It ate 50 rounds of American eagle 9mm ammo and did a fine job of puting them into the kill zone.

i have been carying it in a cheap sholder holster and it carries quite comfortably. Anybody looking foa a defence weapon aught to look haerd at the CZ. i am no fan of the 9mm cartridge but my 45 is awfully expensive  for a carry gun and practice military ammo for a 9mm Is cheap. and you can get 40 Smith and 45s in a similar weapon.

some of the best features of the CZ are Night sites factory installed , 2 -16 round mags suplied, And i like the ability to fire 1st shot double action if you want, or the ability to apply the thumb saftey with the hammer back like a 1911.  Its a hell of a pistol, and it comes in a nice plastic carrying case, with 2 cleaning rods and the allways welcome safty lock. I think I have 5 of those usfull items all like new still in thje plasitc...tj3006

I seem to remember that the CZ75 was the weapon of choice for Carlos the Jakal (sp). Reliability was HIS biggest concern, right up to his getting caught, though not because of the CZ......Kingpin

I remember when verybody wanted a CZ75. But that was when the Checks were behind the iron curtain and we could not import them.

They started building good copies in Italy, tangfolio,(you try and spell it) Abd the IMI witness is a prety close coppy, Remember the short lived springfield P9. CZ75 clone, the end of coldwar brought the real thing into the country...tj3006

I've owned a couple of CZ-75's. Back when they were just the CZ75 without the "B". And back in the era when you couldn't get them in the States we could get them in Canada. And quite reasonable, too. Those were also the days of the 15 shot mags [we can only legally have 10's, now  ] Anyway, only gave up my CZ when I bought a Browning HP MkIII 9mm. The Browning just fits my hand better. But that CZ shot like a house on fire. Browning does too, though...

And I was all set to get a CZ75-B in .40 S&W when I found a Browning HP MkIII in that ctg, too.

Regards, Marcus.

NL, I think it's a reversal of fortunes now. We can now own high capacity mags. I think you ought to move south of the border now. We'll take you as long as your short range plans is to become one of us, and I pledge that we'll even help you take Canada back from the booger eating libs. How's them apples? Hell even your dogs and cars are legal here too, along WITH all your guns......LOL..........Kingpin

Its funny logan !

In had a high power awhile back and it was fun, i only offed it cause I found out the older ones like mine would not last to long when fed +Ps.

it would not shock me if a owned another someday, one thing I like about the CZ is that the grip is similar to the browning...tj3006

FYI - CZ makes a terrific 45ACP.  It's my "housegun" and I wouldn't switch for anything.

Oh yes

the CZ 45 is excelent for your purpose. However it is awfully big and heavy for carry, either concealed or on your hip say for a hike in the country. I have never shot one but i would like too ! ...tj3006
