Gun lights.
I have two one is red the other is green.
I have a rail on the front of the stock And quick lock mounts. I also have a mount to put the light on the scope.
Which should I use? Red, green or both.
The feeders on the ranch are light with Green lights they say.
We are going out to try them tonight.

That's the target and I have two green spot lights we will light the pig up with like the feeders. We will set it up at 70 yards and try shooting out of a pop up blind to simulate the ground blind. I can't reproduce the tree stands which I have never shot from. Any advice on that ?Confused

Well on definitive answer on the red green thing.
But we did hit the pig at 60 yards with every thing we tried. Even the 45 lc but that was at 40 yards.
We each shot 5 shotes with 3 guns each the three of us. I was hoping the pig target would move more when we hit it. We had to walk out after each volley.
The only gun with a troublesome flash was the 8mm.
The AR's have Sound mitigation devices and the flash was way smaller.
Here is a short of me shooting the 8. Watch it in slowmo it look more like a flame thrower.

200 gr sledge hammer.
Reloader 26, 3250 FPS.
I'm betting it will punch through any size pigs
"Shield" at most any distance. I'm taking the GD's 7x57 AI as a backup gun.Clap

Yep, 200 grainer will do it.

Still, if you have the time, head shots work best.

I've killed them with 30-30, 44 mag, 308, and 260 rifles.

Got them with 375, 44 ,41 mag handguns.  BUT, found the 357 not enough.  Used 357 and shot one in the head/ear from 40 yards, down he went.  As I got up to him he looked a little alive and jumped up and started running in an 8 foot circle.  Put one in his head again, one inch below the ear hole, down he went.  Afte 20 seconds he tried to get up but couldn't,  shot in ear hole and smoke came out it mouth, is died in another 5 seconds.  they can be tough.

But other I've hit from 200 yards with a 125 vmax and they dropped dead...go figure.  just have a lot of will to live.

enjoy yourself.  best regards for your trip.
