My boy has a Kimber Mountain assent that was in 6.5 Creedmoor.
He did not care for it in that chambering.
He had it barreled to 338 Federal. He has not shot it yet but looks cool as heck.
It is a 338/ 08 basically.  
SOOO you need a barely broke in barrel under 200 rounds.
$80 or 80 in rimfire, 22, 22mag, 17hmr

looks good, but the creed is just a little too short and faat to be reamer to 6.5-08.  My kimber has about 1000 rounds thru it; will probably out live me.

My bro' has a Kimber in 338 federal, shoots lights out, and kicks more that a 308.  very nice light carry elk rifle.
