If the big game hunting is a little slow I've been known to break out a shotgun and pass the time harassing the local upland bird population. Actually I hadn't shot a pheasant for a few years, but made up for it this season. Here's a photo from just one of several equally successful days last season. My pard had connected on a very nice whitetail buck that morning and we spent the rest of the day shooting birds. Fun day to say the least. I thought it was not too bad for a couple of guys that hardly ever touch a shotgun.

Nice haul Troy.  I haven't done much pheasant hunting since I left SD and I miss those tastey ditch parrots.  Axl and I did find some sharpies though.

Here are a couple more late season birds we took while looking to fill a doe tag.

I did get within range of a pheasant during the season, but fortunately for the bird I was more interested in some of the deer that were in the same field since I was packing the bow.

Good to see your pics and I think this is one of those times to brag up Montana again.  Ah, land of opportunity.
