    I used to shoot a colt '51 replica at 25 long paces and shot thru 2" hardwood backed withsoft wood lumber,,about6" all told,it would make it all the way thru the hardwood andabout 1/3 thru the softwood,,I wouldn't hesitate to shot a deer at bow range,( to 50 yd.s )
