It’s A Religious Thing

When I was in town recently, I stopped in at a little coffee shop I know of. Got a sweet roll and a cup of fine dark brew & proceeded to read the newspaper. I kept the paper in front of me, but started to pay far more attention to the conversation at the next table where four guys and a gal were seated.

First male voice: My son is a priest, and when he enters a room, everybody calls him Father.

Second male voice: Hah! My son is a Bishop, and when he enters everybody calls him Your Grace.

Third male voice: My son is a Cardinal! His title is Your Eminence!

Fourth male voice: My son is the Pope!! Enough said!!

There's a pause, and finally the gal speaks: My daughter is 28 years old, is a 38D, has a 24" waist, and measures 34" at the hips. Not only that, she's a strawberry blond and beautiful. When she enters a room, all the men say OH MY GOD!!!

Damned near spit out my coffee!
