Is there anyone here that can post a Weatherby pamphlet? Maybe the ones among us who are in the trade can point out gross misleading errors in an effort to throw up the 15 yard bullshit flag. If I knew how, I would, but I never look at a computer that I don't think of a snake..........Kingpin

I can't help with a pamphlet, but try the link I included and build your own custom rifle WBY style. I came up with 10k really easy. I can have a hell of a rifle built for 10k. I quess some must use this service for it to be listed.

Of course . . . made in Minnesota by Acrometal . . . NOT just actions . . . rifles . . . have been for a few years . . . before that in Maine by SACO Defense . . . AND before that in Japan . . . by Howa [who else?] . . . since the 1970s.  They DO get some barrels - for some models - from Krieger [Whoops! CRITERION!]    The Weatherby Vanguard is STILL made by Howa.  I think it is their better rifle . . . and a helluva lot less expensive.  Get the one with the walnut stock from Walmart . . . $480 . . . has the same accuracy guarantee as a $5000 custom Mark V . . . does anything else really matter?

Check out http://www.acrometal.com

Dang it Dan . . . that's CUO . . . or CUP or . . . no . . . I forgot!  Maybe it is OCB . . . yep . . . that's it!   Weatherby . . . Weatherby . . . Weatherby . . . yep . . . OCB!

Is this the color you said not use?  Heh heh!  Kind of dull . . . back to red . . . there . . . that is better . . . matches your Chevy!  Hotter than Hades today . . . and supposed to be hotter tomorrow!  Geez!  I am on the bottom floor . . . slightly under-ground.  Much much cooler than upstairs.  Just created a Final Exam for my class at Ft. Carson.  Dog has been in her cage watchin' . . . and keepin' cool.  Gonna give tests to the students - collect papers - and call it over!  Their class is a couple of weeks shorter than at the main campus.  A glass of iced tea will be just right!

"They are in Japan. They made both the Mark 5 and the Vangaurd.it's hard
for me to have much faith in a gun made by people who have never fired a
gun much less owned one When we were stocking the Mark 5s and
Fibergaurds you can;t imagine what a job it was due to the fact most of
the barrels did not point straight down the stock. you could hold the
action in a lathe chuck and pull it through by hand and the muzzle would
run out 4 or 5 inches.  At that time there was no run out specs although
about the time we quit selling them stocks I think Ed got a little help
on that matter.  The rifles from that country has about the same quality
as the scopes that come out of it.  Some are OK and some leave a lot to
be desired.

Gale McMillan"

When I had my Howa rebarreled the Smith who did it told me exactly the same thing in regards to my rifle and runout. He had a heck of a time pulling the barrel.

Well I guess this means that no one can post the pamphlets so that the true facts can be brought forward. That, or maybe someone doesn't want them posted. If I was a college professor, I'll just bet I could do it. Then again, maybe I'd be afraid to do it because of the harassment...........Kingpin
