Mine isn't wrecked (Yet), but I'm going hunting tomorrow morning (last day of archery)....still a chanceLOL.

Did you do the body work your self?  Looks first class.

Mine is the Jimmy version (same vehicle as the Chevy).  My 4.2 6L was a little hard on gas till I got to about 35K miles now I get 21+ on the road doing 70 mph.

Beautiful SUV

Most of the body work was just replacing the damaged parts so I did that. Had a shop cut the frame off from the radiator forward and weld in a new one. I then put everything together and it went back to the shop for paint. I ain't that good.

It's got 40K on it and I get about 20mpg driving 70-75.

Someone told me that engine was very hardmetal and needed a longer break-in to get everything (rings) seated and increased milage.  Guess they were right.

Front brake rotors wear outrageously, I need new ones now and trying to find a brand/model as an upgrade.  Saw some Monroe ceramic ones I might try.

Yeah I've heard that too, while I was waiting for parts to arrive I replaced all the brake pads and had the rotors turned. Did not go with the ceramic pads though. I will if I don't get good wear out of these.
