Just a little heads up about Para Ordance service.

In one word, excellent.

I bought a 1911 SSP and after taking it to the shooting range, it shot very low and to the left.

I tried to adjust the rear sight and was unable to move the sight over.

I contacted their service department and expained the problem.

They sent me a 2 day pre-paid return box and told me send send it in.

While explaining the propblem to their service rep, I inquired as to the charge for installing a white dot front sight as the red filiment type I didn't care for.

They would get back to me with a charge for doing this.

Well to make a long story short, I received the gun back with a new front sight and a test target with 5 hole in the bull. AND, NO CHARGE FOR THE NEW SIGHT AND INSTALLATION.

BTW, no charge for the 2 day return of the gun either.

I've yet to get the gun back to the range, but if the test target is anything like what may be in store, I'll be very pleased with their service department.

Thanks Para Ordance service folks.

Fella's;

I'll have to look that gun up, as I'm kinda interested in getting an ACP platform with adjustable sights.  The gun show is on here at this time & there's a NIB SIG two-tone .45 with a micrometer rear that I wouldn't mind owning.  But, the seller & I aren't going to meet on the price.  Oh well.

900F,

Don't get me wrong,  I'm not pushing Para products.  I have absoutley no connection to Para whatsoever.

I have 4 -1911's, Kimber, Sig Sauer, Ria, and the SSP.

This gun has the smoothest slide of the bunch, right out of the box.

900F, for your benefit, I'm sending a lookup spot for you.

Go to Bud's Gunshop and pull up item #75715. It's called a Para PX745EK SSP.  Sells for $731.00 shipped.

Hope this helps ya.

Nice going Roger, glad you were treated right. I have a Para P-14 that I bought as a frame only and built it from scratch. It shoots like a house on fire. I do doubt that Para Ordnence would honor anything on my pistol because I built it. I have no doubt that if the steel frame cracked they would take care of me though.............................................Kingpin

You've had the para for awhile now, any updates as to fit and finish, handling, issues....etc.? I've been eye-balling a long-slide P-14 .45 major, and the input would be appreciated.
