VXII vs ELITE3200 2x7

        I put a matt finish Leupold vx2 2x7 on my Laminate stocked blue steel model 7 .308 yeserday and thought just for fun I would compare it to te elite 3200 on my A-bolt Micro hunter 7mm08. Now this is not a copmplete or scientific comparison but I did learn a bit of usfull information. !st the Leo looks great on my rifle and it seems to be the sturdier constructed scope of the two. At low power (both are 2x7s) The elite seems just a little clearer, But as you crank up the power the leu, takes over. I had to move my Eye closer to the scope with the Elite as the Eye relief changed, at around 5 power. The leu had a good consistant Eye relief all the way to 7. The cross hairs were a little bigger on the elite and that might be very important when huting but I think the leu are probably big enough. Also I bet the slimmer cross hairs on the leo will help me at the bench. I am looking forward to shooting the leupold this weekend  testing the 1/4 minite clicks. The bushnell was very easy to zero and the adjustments were great. So far the leupold seems to be worth the extra 60 bucks I spent . Ill let you know how well it works at the range.   ...tj3006
