Greetings Marcus:
It's hot here this weekend and I know the desert is supposed to be.Yesteday (the 4th) I plugged into the official weather station closest to our home and it peaked at 116.8 F and 6.7 % humidity. We have two months of this then it will turn down.
Planning to try out some new loads for the 30-06. Swifts 165 grn tomorrow evening.
The point I was trying to make is simply not all of us own a library but most of us have friends which if we joined forces with together, would garner a sizeable arsenal. That is all.

bojon;
Any particular reason for the Swift bullets? Just asking. I shoot the .30-06 also & refuse to pay the 'premium bullet' price. I know my gun & load, & figure I can hunt up closer if I need to. Or if I can't & the conditions suit me, I'll take the long shot also. Not ridiculously long, but long enough. Just don't subscribe to the 'magic bullet' theory I guess.

As Marcus will vouch for me I meet people from all over the world and this one time I met the President and CEO of Swift. We discussed business and one thing led to another and reloading came up. He sent me a box of 165. I hate to use them for targets shooting, but since I don't hunt buy rarely, I want to have the best load for them anyway.
See that is why I really like the 30-06 -- so versatile
