   Waterfowl Seasons And Regulations

The Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks Commission adopted waterfowl hunting regulations Thursday for the upcoming seasons.

With bag and possession limits generally similar to last year, here's how the seasons shape up:

„h  Swan: Oct. 14¡VDec. 1:  500 permits. Applications due Sept. 8
„h  Falconry Season for ducks, coots, and geese: Sept. 30¡VJan. 12, 2007
„h  Canyon Ferry Wildlife Management Area closed at noon: Sept. 30¡VOct. 6

„h  Pintails & Canvasbacks: Sept. 30¡VNov. 7; and Sept. 23¡V24 during Youth Waterfowl Season

„h  Swan: Sept. 30. 14¡VJan. 4, 2007: 500 permits. Applications due Sept. 8

„h  North Chinook Reservoir in Blaine County open for waterfowl hunting

Waterfowl regulations will be available online on Wednesday, Sept. 6. Visit FWP's website at fwp.mt.gov, click "Hunting." Printed regulations are expected to be available at most FWP offices and license providers on Sept. 15.

	Axl brought me some jewelry on Sunday. What a guy. Ended up with 10 mallard drakes and 2 bull cans for the weekend. Not bad for the two of us. Here is my partner with opening day birds.
