I voted for other cause you left out my personal favorite, Sig Sauer in a pistol, S&W in a revolver. The way that I understand it a handgun with a revolving cylinder is a revolver, all others are pistols. I've had many over the years, down to just a few now.

Ya forgot Taurus, and CZ, en Isreali arms eagle & baby eagle.
I've owned, Ruger Redhawk, and a GP100, S&W Model 29, H&R 9 shot, a couple of jennings p shooters, a 32 police model smith, a Taurus, and a baby eagle, which is a knock off of the CZ75 (russian paratrooper pistol).

And the early Colt handguns were known as a "Revolving Pistols". Said so right on the box label. Pistol
originaly refered to a weapon that was fired from the hand, or one handed.
Current usage divides between self-loaders and revolvers.
