Congrats on a fine catch.

That would be fun.

They have recently  reintroduced them in the Cumberland here in Nashville and so I will NOT live to see any that size, but would love to catch one before the end, just to say I did.

Don't know if they will ever be able to reproduce between the dams on the river or not, but it will be years before they are mature enough to spawn anyway.
There is Family, Huntin, Fishin, Outdoors, . . .

The rest is pretty much frittering ones life away

I think that they will reproduce between the dams, I caught this one right off the spillway of a dam.  This is a favorite spot of the Sturgeon Fisherman out here. some time you are almost shoulder to shoulder, but when someone hooks up, everyone reels in, then they all chip in to help, as you can see in the pics, didnt know any of these people before I caught the fish, we are all friends now.

I was told that a Sturgeon of this size is at least seventy years old, but I  dont know for sure, it was a good match cause im seventy two
