More looking.
I think I want to put a roof rack on my truck cab.
I would need rails that hook to the door jams, no gutter,
I think I found a carrier.

SportRack Vista XL Rear Opening Cargo Box.

I have customers that come through the car wash that have those. I've asked them and they say they are water proof.

The only problem I could see would be getting heavy stuff up there. I ain't getting no younger and those things are a long way off the ground.

On my truck I would have to stand in the bed, it opens from the back not the side.
It only has a 100 pound limit so I should not be a problem. I do have my "Old man Lifty thing" I could use if I had to.

Like a rack from the back to over the cab?
That makes for a "Work truck" look.
A roof rack and carrier can come off in minutes if need be.
I'm looking for lockable, water / wind proof out of the cab storage.

You might have to be careful of all of those low hanging branches where you hunt coyotes!
Trigger Control is knowing when not to pull it.

Rooftop carriers reduce gas mileage by around 23%. For example if you normally get 13mpg it would go to 10.

A receiver hitch carrier is only a 2% hit in mpg. They are easy to remove and can carry more weight.

Go-ddaed

That's not accurate in Wyoming.

In a normal everyday Wyoming breeze i'm pretty sure it would reduce fuel mileage by at least 75%.
