New Toy

Well, my gun want list just got one line smaller today. I filled out the good ol' (well, new) 4473 on a Ruger m77 Hawkeye left hand in .375 Ruger. I have put some tetra gun on the bolt raceways to smooth out the bolt throw, and it helped a lot. I already have a scope on it as well, a Leupold M8 2.5x20. I took it off my Marlin 444S, just to get some decent glass on the thing that I think will be able to stand up to the recoil. I am hoping to shoot it next Sunday, and have 40 rounds of ammo to play with. I finally got my big bore, no small thanks to you guys and a guy who helps out at the local gunshop. He has been feeding my desire for a big bore, and he was the guy who shut down my .338 project by saying it is a woman's gun . Not sure what I am going to do with the Tikka now, since this Ruger does everything the .338 does and more. I hope to get some better glass on it once I get more discretionary income to play with. I am thinking a Loopie VX-2 2-7x33 should do the trick rather nicely.

Hopefully I will be able to give you guys a range report a week from now!

I don't think I am ready to get rid of it just yet CB. Every time I hold the thing it makes me want to keep it and shoot it. I could part with the scope if you wanted that though.
