My nephew is in boot camp for the Army res. Please pray for him. Mike is a good kid who needs some structure in his life. I pray the army will give him that structure. He has been a little rebel his whole life. Kinda a family trait. I think this is going to be good for him.

MM.....It may help...(BTW..boot camp is for Marines and sailors, basic training is for Army types)....my cousins son went into the Army as a rebel too, he came out after Baghdad 2003 (3rd ID) as a E5 Sgt and with comendations for his actions.....he was about 22 when he went in.......so there is hope BUT he will need to work to make it happen too.  Keep supporting him & keep communicating with him while he is there.......that means a lot to those kids......knowing someone really cares.......IBD

I will. He is a good kid. Mom and dad used to send him to me and the wife during summer vac. so we could work with him on some guidence, and he just loved being in MT. He loved the fact that unkle Scott would let him shoot all the ammo he wanted. He's just like me. He loves guns and shooting but has some attention span issues. I think the military is going to do wonders for him.

Hey Montana,
He'll do good in the Army. Plenty of structure and encouragement to spend extra energy....my heart's out to you. I understand your concerns and will keep him in my prayers.

Mike called his mom the other day and said he is loving it! Basic is fun and he is learning a lot of stuff. Of coarse having me for an unkle he aready loved guns, and I'm sure he is loving the heck out of getting  to fire, strip, and clean weapons of war.
