boy scout method for flint and steel fire

   this looks pretty reasonable and straightforward to me. as with most things in the scout handbook, they can be improved upon after a little experience; still, it looks good from a beginner's point of view.

i don't have any flint, so i haven't been able to try it. i used to search spearfish canyon (12 miles of limestone cliffs reaching a thousand feet into the air) in vain for the stuff, but with no success....
