Fella's; I've just concluded my first experience buying from Numrich, aka gunparts.com. I ordered a magazine for my Remmie 788 6mm Rem for $27.00. That's a steal for new construction versus the $100 or so you'll pay for a used original at a gun show. However, I also ordered a pair of buttpad replacement screws, minor items. The one's that came didn't exactly match the pair I'd taken out because they were rusty, but that's no real big deal. What did piss me off was the fact that they didn't match each other! That's pretty second rate. 900F Edited by CB900F |

I agree, they should match. But keep in mind that Numrich has millions of TONS of old parts stored in thousands of bins in many old warehouses. Parts pickers are not the highest paid nor the brightest folks. GunParts.com is a great source for gun nuts. But I've dealt with them for 30 years. If you call they will make it right. It also doesn't help that manufactures often used different parts in the same place over the years. So when they but dicontinued parts and parts from bankrupt companies they sort of have to believe what is in the boxes is what was used. Give them another try. 25 years ago I ordered a sear for a cheap H&R revolver from Numrich for a friend. Last fall the same gun came back with the same problem, I looked in my firearms assembly manual and stuck in the page wass the 25 year old receipt. I called GunParts and the same part number got me a new one for about $8. Not bad for a old gun part for a really shitty revolver! BEAR |

Give them a call - every company screws up (sorry for the jike) but the mark of the good guys is how they correct it. Numrich has always been good to me - now if I could just get that special sear for my FAL they'd be perfect!

Numrich doesn't have perfect record, but they do ok. As their flyers, catalogs, and website say, they are USED parts. The explainations above are correct, parts picker grabs 2 items from bin number 2806, and one part from bin 2739-1. They don't even look at them, they don't have time. Some parts are new production that never went on a gun, others are from cannabalized guns that are almost worn out. Most are somewhere in between those extremes. Call them, they will take care of it.

Fella's; OK, called 'em today & told them the problem. I'm to return both the buttplate screws & get new ones. The gal that took my complaint was nice & efficient also. Therefore I ordered another item too. I sent a note with the returned screws telling them which style of the two I preferred. We shall see what shows up in a few days. 900F |

If you can take a digital picture and send a hard copy for the parts picker it helps on strange stuff. I once sent the old broken part to them. They got it right (the first time) but I worried they or the USP could losse it and I'd have nothing. Good luck CB BEAR |

Been dealing with Numrich for years. Every now and then, something gets
shipped that ain't quite right. My latest order for a front post for a Henry Survival rifle (AR-7), a 38 Swede 0.5 front post and a magazine for the Henry was just what I ordered. In the past I have run into a few used guns that needed replacement parts and the parts that I received did not match those on the gun. Turns out the wrong parts were on the gun and I was shipped the correct ones. |
