My neighbor has a 12ga. semi auto that was imported by charles daly, it's italian made it think! but he asked me what the choke on it was? nowhere is it stamped on the barrel! under the fore stock the barrel has four stamped stars, could this be the choke designation? 1 star cyl bor, 2 star imp.cyl, 3 star modified, 4 star full choke? I believe the reciever was stamped novamatic or novusmatic!

Best to check both barrels with a caliper. Also could use a dime.

You got it right Crazy, the stars are it. I've seen some half stars for improved, sort of between 2 and 3 stars. Really easy to shoot some 30 inch butcher paper ant 30 yards and figure percentage pattern. this is the only real way to figure choke. BEAR |
